Schindler Group adopts Castify
EBN to accelerate
SAP® Learning Solution in all branch offices

19th 2006 - Schindler Group switched from traditional
costly training of its worldwide sales and support staff
to cost-efficient electronic delivery of training for
all new products. Schindler products are sold, installed,
and supported worldwide and Schindler's workforce is
located in offices around the world. Reaping the benefits
of electronic delivery of training (eLearning) was an
obvious proposition with huge cost-savings associated
compared to the traditional training delivery. Schindler
has chosen SAP Learning Solution for its superior learning
management over competitor products and uses SAP Learning
Solution as an internal service for Learners.
SAP Learning Solution was installed
centrally at the main datacenter of Schindler for access
by learners worldwide. Soon it became clear that for
employees in distant offices the access to the central
learning service was just unusable because of large
delays via the global intranet. Short, the distance
learning implementation was on the verge of becoming
a failure.
That's when Schindler turned
to Castify to empower its worldwide employees for seamless
access to the internal learning service. Schindler tested
Castify's EBN service acceleration software in multiple
locations worldwide and Schindler staff in remote locations
compared the access to the centralized application services
with and without Castify EBN. The difference was astonishing.
Between offices on the same continent (Netherlands and
Switzerland) the access speed improved significantly,
while on an intercontinental level only the performance
improvements by Castify EBN enabled learning and made
session breakups and time-outs a thing of the past.
An amazing new experience for remote staff that frequently
encountered slow access to intranet services.
