for network and content monitoring, as well as optional caching and
additional premium services.
- The Uplink
manages all aspects of multicast movie distribution via existing satellite
facilities, including transmission protocols, bandwidth reservation
and guaranteed deliveries. Uplink software also administers terrestrial
multicast distribution.
- C-Terminals
administer the distribution, status reporting, and local management
of content distributed via satellite facilities, even with no feedback
channel in place.
- C-POD software
remotely handles the automatic playout of content on hotel TV screens
across the existing cable network and according to the license and distribution
parameters set by the content managers for film.
